We are thrilled to introduce our Portable Appliance Testing (PAT) Service, a free initiative designed to ensure electrical items in our community are safe for use. This project aims to:
 

• Minimise electrical hazards by detecting issues early.

• Offer safety checks for appliances such as kettles, electric blankets, computers, and power tools.

• Provide certifications for tested items, offering peace of mind to their owners.
   

For items that don’t pass the safety tests, we provide guidance on repairs or safe replacements.
 

Who Can Benefit?
 

Our PAT service is open to:
 

• Low-income households

• Vulnerable and elderly individuals

• Community organisations

• Students and tenants in shared housing
